Sponsees
A Better Way Foundation is a Model A fiscal Sponsor. This means that each organization that we sponsor becomes a project under the umbrella of ABWF
Hearing Youth Voices
We run campaigns on issues that are important to our constituents- young people of color, many of whom are also working class, and/or immigrant, and/or LGBT, and/or undocumented. Thus far, our campaigns have focused on educational justice issues, especially issues of school pushout and the school to prison pipeline.
Mutual Aid Hartford
We are a community-run network of Hartford residents’ needs and contributions. When we say “mutual aid,” we mean that every member has the opportunity to give and to take, as needed, no questions asked. This is people helping people. We are action-driven and rooted in the belief that this is the only way we can survive capitalist society.
Colectivo Bambula
Colectivo Bámbula builds the capacity of Diaspora Ricans to embody liberation and drive transformative change. We envision communities confident in their skill and supported in their responsibility to disrupt that which seeks to isolate us and co-create systems rooted in connection, healing and abundance.
FRESH New London
FRESH New London builds momentum for food system change by connecting communities, with a focus on youth of New London. We work to create the conditions for everyone to access food with dignity and have control over their food access. We grow food as a way to reclaim land, highlight cultural relevance, inspire leadership, and incite change.
People's Saturday School
Our mission is to build a team of facilitators, coaches, and mediators committed to cultivating safer, healthier, and more democratic culture within schools, organizations, and movements in Connecticut and beyond. We envision a more cooperative and sustainable future where we can live, learn, and work free from patterns of domination, exploitation, and burnout.
CT Tenant's Union
We are tenants fighting for better housing. CTTU sees these phenomena as inextricably linked: if housing is primarily a way for landlords and investors to get richer, tenants will be denied safe, stable, and affordable housing. We change this by organizing with our neighbors across the state. By building collective power, we can make landlords fulfill their existing legal obligations to us as renters
